Gastops is partnered with Kop-Flex, a business unit of Regal Power Transmission Solutions, to supply the electronic components including sensors, conditioning unit, and display used in the Kop-Flex Powerlign® torque monitoring system based upon the deflection/phase displacement method.
Torque is commonly measured using strain gages mounted to the rotating shaft connecting the prime mover and driver device. This technique is usually limited to short duration development testing due to inherent long term reliability challenges. A more reliable approach to measure torque is using the shaft deflection/phase displacement technique whereby the torsional twist of a shaft is measured over a set length using toothed wheels at either end. This method is mature, accurate, reliable, and robust.
Powerlign® is distributed exclusively through the Kop-Flex worldwide network to the energy and industrial sectors for critical, high-value equipment torque measurement applications.
