GasTOPS Ltd. hosts the 9th Annual International
Sea King Maintenance Symposium in Pensacola, FL.
Ottawa, Canada (April 25 2006): Hosted by
GasTOPS Ltd. , the 9th Annual International Sea King Maintenance Symposium
will be held from May 23-25, 2006 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pensacola
Beach, Florida.
The symposium is an annual event bringing together Sea King operators and
maintainers from around the world including Australia, the United States,
Canada, Britain and Malaysia as well as scores of commercial vendors who
support the Sea King aircraft. The on-going purpose of the symposium is to
share and discuss technical and maintenance issues, new modifications and
upgrades and solutions to problems related to an aircraft that has extensive
service experience.
With the theme of “Planned Obsolescence, Lesson’s Learned,” the first day of
the symposium will be comprised of military updates from key personnel from
the Canadian Forces, the U.S. Navy, the British Royal Navy and the Royal
Australian Navy. The afternoon will include commercial updates by Sikorsky,
GE, IMP Aerospace and ACROHelipro.
Day two and three of the symposium will be highlighted by workshops
coordinated by Clayton International in the following categories:
Organizational Maintenance, Avionics, Main Rotor Blades, Gearboxes, Engines
and Vibration/Condition Monitoring.
And finally, new to this year’s symposium will be an exhibit area,
presenting an excellent opportunity for vendors to showcase their products
and services first-hand to the international Sea King community. Among the
current list of exhibitors are Dynamic Instruments, PinPoint Laser Systems,
Columbia Helicopters and IMP Aerospace.
