The Canadian Machinery Vibration Association is a federally chartered non-profit organization, created to serve the needs of persons working in the fields of machinery dynamics, balancing, and vibration. The CMVA grew out of the former Machinery Dynamics Subcommittee (MSDC) of the National Research Council of Canada, which began presenting the Machinery Vibration Seminars in 1970.
